UnitedUs is officially B Corp certified—here’s why that matters

At UnitedUs, we talk a lot about building brave brands for those who want to matter. But that’s not just a tagline. It’s a belief system. It’s why we exist—to build brands that want to make an impact. And that belief applies just as much to us as it does to our clients.
For the past 13 years, we’ve shaped UnitedUs into a business rooted in ethics, sustainability, and integrity. Our culture is designed to uplift our team—giving them the support, confidence, and opportunity to thrive, not just in their roles but in every aspect of their lives.
This month marks B Corp Month, so it’s the perfect time to proudly announce that UnitedUs is now B Corp Certified!
Why B Corp?
B Corp is a marker of businesses committed to creating positive change—not just in the work they do but in how they operate, treat people, and impact the world. It’s not just about making great work; it’s about building great cultures and delivering long-term, meaningful change.
There has been a lot of criticism of the B Corp movement lately, particularly of some brands gaining certification that folks think shouldn’t. From our perspective, we’re in an era of experimentation. B Corp might not be the perfect answer to encouraging businesses to act more sustainably for people and planet, but we’d much rather an imperfect answer that moves the dial now.
For myself, Jan and Natalie, that’s exactly why this matters. We strive every day to create a business that makes a positive impact—for our clients, their customers, and our industry as a whole.
The journey to certification
Before we started the B Corp process, we’d heard the same thing from countless businesses: It’s tough. It’s a long road. It’s incredibly difficult to qualify. And in many ways, that’s true.
But what made us incredibly proud was realising that, without changing a single thing, we were already meeting the B Corp qualification mark. That told us that the way we’ve always run our business—with integrity, sustainability, and people at the heart—was the right way.
That being said, good enough isn’t good enough for us. So, rather than just hitting the mark, we worked with B Corp to refine our processes and push beyond the baseline—ensuring that we’re not just meeting expectations but setting new standards for what a business like ours can achieve.
What’s next?
Becoming a B Corp isn’t a one-and-done achievement. It’s not a badge to put on the website and forget about. It’s a commitment to constant evolution, and challenging ourselves to do better every year.
We’ll continue pushing forward—refining, improving, and ensuring that UnitedUs continues to be a force for positive change.
This certification is a huge moment for us, but we didn’t get here alone. A massive thank you to our team, our partners, our clients, and everyone who’s been part of the journey. You’ve all played a role in shaping UnitedUs into the business it is today.
